In this economic climate I personally would be surprised if it sold for that. It is unfortunate that the meeting is reported to have been very contentious. But, it is difficult to understand why this purchase is even being considered at this time.
Finally. I suspect that our economy will worsen before it gets better and I believe that it would be better if there were a level of trust in government that appears to be at risk. For that reason I would urge the board to not purchase this property and more importantly not do it without any further public hearings.
