Twenty-two Home Demonstraition Improvement leaders attended a leader training meeting February 9, at the Washington Fire House. Miss Ruth Jamison, House .(Furnishing Specialist of VPI was present to give the demonstration. She gave one in the morning on “What to Know in Rfjying Fabrics for the Living Room,” and one in the afternoon on “Window Treatment for the Living Room.’’ The women that attended were: Mrs. Will Walters, Mrs. Katheryn Riley and Mrs. Charles Smith of Amissville, Mrs. Flythe of Flint Hill; Mrs. C. D. Scott of Castleton; Mrs. Grace Weaver, Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, Mrs. Edna Walker, Mrs. Mabel Racer, Mrs. Gilbert Updike of Washington; Mrs. Pearl Mills, Mrs. Louise Mills and Mrs. Lewis Hamilton of Huntly; Mrs. W. H. Lyne and Mrs. George Taylor of Sperryville; Mrs. J. G. Revercomb and Mrs. Eddie Gore of F.T. Valley; Mrs. Lillie Barber and Mrs. C. B. Johnson of Woodville; Mrs. Ollie Wines, Mrs. Stanley Williams and Mrs. William Bolt of Chester Gap.

Within the next month these women hope to sign up everyone interested in living room improvement in a living room improvement campaign. Each woman will decide what they plan to do to their living room during the year, and try to complete this within the year. Help will be given to these women by the Home Improvement leaders, at club meetings and by home demonstration agent aid in slip covering, drape selection, window treatment, upholstering, tying springs, rug selection etc., will be given uto the campaign members. All the newest and latest information on living room improvement will be given, so let’s have 190 per cent entering this campaign by the Home Demonstration members. Help along this line will be given to non-home demonstration mem« bers too, if they but ask for advice. At the end of the year, accomplishments will be shown through a tour that will be conducted in each community by visits - to all improved liv'ing rooms. --
