Miss Mertyce Rosson
Miss Mertyce Rosson died on Monday, February 13, when she was struck by an automobile as she was crossing the street in Coinjock, N. C., where she was spending the winter with her sister, Mrs. G. W. Bright.
Funeral services were held at the Geest funeral home in Culpeper Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock with Rev. A. A. MeNeer officiating* Interment was in the family section of Fairview cemetery. *
Pallbearers were C. B. Johnson, Maurice O’Bannon, Garland, Rosso n, Browning Chewning, William Johnson, and Temple Allen. Miss Rosson is survived by three sisters. Mrs. G. W. Bright, Mrs. H. V. Shenton of Lovingston, Mrs. C. E. Chewning of Washington, D. C., and a brother, James G. Rosson.
Tire-Cutting Re-occurs
The automobile belonging to Paul Jack Foster0 of Flint Hill was damaged on Saturday night when it was parked on the Blacksburg Toad near town.
The tires of the car and the upholstery were cut up, and the car’s windshield and lights were smashed to pieces.
