Two Home Demonstration clubs met last week, the Amissville and Woodville clubs. The Amissville club met at the home of Mrs. Charlie Smith, Mrs. Joe Hitt, president of the Amissville club presided over the meeting. Final plans were made for the show and dance to be sponsored by the club on February 17. A good reading list was given out to the members, giving them suggestions as to what good books should be read during the year. Great interest was shown in the forthcoming “Floor Sanding” demonstration to be held in the county. Then an excellent demonstration on “How to Make M rtha Washington Candy," was given by Mrs. Jessie Rowzie. The agent gave a demonstration on two other types of candy that are simple and easy to make. One more tray was stenciled by a club member. The meeting adjourned after the serving of refreshments by the hostess and the tasting of the products made at the meeting.
Woodville Home Demonstration club met at the home of Mrs. R. M. Johnson. This club really turned out the goods—eight trays were stenciled, two table cloths, eight place mats and a pillow case and sheet. Business was taken up first. Interest was also shown by the club in the forthcoming floor sanding demonstration. Some very excellent timely information was given. The good reading list was passed around, and, accomplishments for the year were discussed. It was decided to have an extra meeting next month, at the home of Mrs. Clarence Johnson, and, re-upholster a sofa. r
