The body of George Robert Fincham was found late Saturday night by a hunter with hi* pack of dogs on Brown mountain.
Lester Jenkins, the hunter, was led to the scene by his dogs and he immediately called Sheriff Lillard to the spot on the mountain on the Robert W. Miller farm near Hawlin.
Fincham, wanted for the murder of his mother-un-law, Mrs. Terry Sisk, on the night of October 12, 1949, at Slate Mills, ' had been the object of an intense search at that time, and the county Board of Supervisors had offered $190 reward for inforipation leading to his arrest and conviction.
The body was examined by the Sheriff and county coroner, Dr. J. P. Snead on Sunday morning following the discovery. Fincham’s identification card, his pocketbook and remnants of his clothes were found near the skeleton. Identification was made by Dr. J. B. Early, a dentist of Madison, who identified the bridgework on the teeth as some he had done for Fincham. Further identification was made possible by scars on a jawbone from a fracture received by Fincham when he was .kicked by a horse.
A 12-gauge shot gun, with which Fincham was thought to have shot himself, was found lying near the skeleton.
