Rodes Brown Elected
To Advisory Council
J. Rodes Brown, \^as elected Monday, February 13, by the ehaifman of tne- various Rappahannock commodity advisory committees to represent this county on the proposed advisory council of the pasture and froage corporation experiment station, located near Middleburg. Other counties served by this station will also select a leading stock farmer as their representative. At present tentative plans are to incorporate, and in this connection by-laws and the constitution are being formulated by persons from Fauquier county, which will be presented at the first meeting of the various county representatives to be held some time this month.
Flint Hill Students
To Broadcast WFTR
The students of the Flint Hill Elementary School will present a historic program over radio station WFTR (1450KC) at 8:00 p.m. today (Thursday).
Important events in the liver of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln will be dramatized by the students of the school, who will also sing several appropriate songs under the direction of Mrs. Kathryn Wood Cahen.
Students participating in the program are Jimmy Lillard, Galley Smith III, Lelia Gentry, and Jimmy Yates.
Cahen—Wood
Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Kathryn Virginia Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Wood of Newport News, and Carrol Cahen of Washington, D. C.
The ceremony was solemnized on Saturday, February 11, at 5 o’clock at the Presbyterian Manse in Arlington, with the Rev. Isaac Sleeman, pastor of the church, officiating.
The bride was attired in a brown gabardine traveling suit with matching accessories and she wore a corsage of gardenias.
Mrs. Cahen is the music instructor for the Rappahannock county schools, and Mr. Cahen is an attorney with the Department of Justice in Washington, D. C.
The couple will make their home in Washington, D. C.. a' the termination of the school term.
