Mr. and Mrs. J. o. Kevercomb. and Mrs. Mabel Gore attended a meeting of the home demonstration leaders held at the fire house in ' Washington on Thursday.
Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown were Pfc. Henry Allen Brown, who is at present stationed in Norfolk aboard the USS Chilton en route to Puerto Rico; and Mr. and Mrs. Julian P. Ragan of Richmond. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Brown and their house guests motored to Front Royal where they were dinner guests of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Shirey.
J. H. Wood was a dinner guest on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. WTood at Woodville.
Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Coughlin spent the week end with relatives in Washington, D. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Brodie of Wrebster, N. Y., who were enroute to Florida, stopped in Sperryville Saturday for a brief visit with Mrs. J. R. Cooper and her daughter, Mrs. Harry Trescott. Mr. Brodie was connected with the Gilbert Apple Products Company which operated in this county abort JO years ago.
Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily were week-end gilests of their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Barr in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
J. Hill O’Bannon, Mrs. I.ily Barber, and Maurice O’Bannon attended the funeral of Mrs. Sam O’Bannon near Middleburg Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Wagner ■visited their parents, Mr. and .Mrs. K. R. Jarrels of Mt. Crawford and Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Wagner of Port Republic. They were accompanied home by Mrs. E. S. Wagner who is their guest this week. •••-••
