Rockets Defeat Culpeper
The Rappahannock Rockets won a smashing victory over the Culpeper town teams on Monday at the Washington High School auditorium with a score of 85 to 23 for the girls’ team and 51 to 40 for the boys’ team in favor of the Rockets.
The Rockets girls’ team won over the Madison county team in a score of 43 to 27 at the game played at the Madison High School on Friday evening. The boys’ team which was not so successful as the girls lost by eight points in a score of 36 to 44 in favor of Madison.

Mrs. Alice Partlow Curtis, the daughter of Judge Ira J. Partlow of Welch, West Va., and William Billings of Chicago were married Monday in Chicago.

The WMU of the Flint Hill Baptist church met on Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. C. R. Wood.
The program topic was “How Christian is America.” Mrs. W. A. Laws.on, conducted -the devotional in a very impressive manner.- She also prepared an interesting program -in which the eight members who were present at the meeting participated.
