Capt. Wiener Purchases
Flint Hill Property
Capt. William Wiener, retired army officer, formerly of Bridgewater, is a new property owqei in Rappahannock county and a new member of the Rappahannock Hunt.
W. A. Miller, local broker, reported the sale of four and a half acres of the R. Frank Wood property, next the Baptist parsonage and Woodfs Packing in Flint Hill. The sale was for Forest T. Taylor, of Staunton, to Captain "Wiener.
Mr. Miller asked the captain how much family he had and the reply war, “two horses and a dog.” At present the horses are being kept at Bill Williams’ stables and the dog is being kept safe with a friend because of the danger from the highway.
An opinion has been expressed that Capt. Wiener has one of the finest 3-year old colts seen in this section for many a day.
