FLINT HILL GARDEN CLUB
Mrs. B. J. Wood was hostess to the Flint Hill Garden Club at her home in Flint Hill on Wednesday afternoon.
Paul L. Miller showed some colored slides of Various places of interest in Williamsburg.
The exhibits were on fruit arrangements. Mrs. James M. Settle received the highest score for her arrangement of Various fruits arranged in a compote with evergreens on a large tray.
Mrs. J. M. Settle was appointed by the president as chairman of the Clean-Up Committee for the campaign which will be held in April.
The club memben|s discussed the various flower shows advertised which are being held in various states. They decided to attend the one which will be held at the Armory in Washington, D. C., during March.
MRS. B. D. MILLER IS HOSTESS AT BRIDGE
Mrs. D. D. Miller was hostess to the bridge club which met at her ho.me on Thursday evening.
Mrs. E. M. Jones won the high score'prize* Mrs. C. T. Bruce received the consolation one, Mrs. B. M. Miller the traveling, and Mrs. George H. Davis Jr., was awarded the bingo prize. “ Others present were Mrs. E. S. Wagner, Mrs. D. C. Link, Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Mrs. W. H. Massie Jr., Mrs. J. W. Price, Mrs. J. E. Keyser, and Mrs. R. L. Massie.
