Exchanged Sunday
The Flint Hill Methodist church was the scene on Sunday afternoon, April 23, at two o’clock, of the wedding of Miss Evelyn Gordon Cook, daughter of Captain and Mrs. Janies Philip Cook, of Flint Hill, and Maurice Walker of Washington, D. C., son of Mrs. Mary Walker and the late Maurice D. Walker of Fredericksburg.
The altar of the church was decorated with white gladioli, candelabra and palms.
Miss Ruth Carson Williams of Front Royal, played the traditional wedding marches at the processional and recessional, and Miss Jo Ellen Worth sang “The Lord’s Praygg,” “Because’’ and “Indian Love Call,” preceding the ceremony.
The Rev. Norman J. Flythe, pastor of the chiurch officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Marvin Claude Cook, was attired in a gown of ivory satin with a long train and bodice trimmed ' with chantilly lace, having a high jewel neckline and long sleeves. She wore a veil of white net also bordered with chantilly lace, and a headband beaded with white rosettes. The bouquet which she carried was of white roses, centered with an orchid.
