1950 Farmers* Tour Set

The Four-State Farmers’ Tour ■will be held this year on August 18, with Berkeley or Jefferson counties in West Virginia tentatively selected as the location, it was announced this week by Herman Stockslager, president of the Fd(ur-State Farmers’ Committee.

Mr. Stockslager also announced at the recent meeting of farmers and county agents that W. N. McClung, county agent from Martinsburg, West Virginia, has bfcen selected to head the Executive Committee that will plan the coming Farm Tour.“The

ever increasing interest shown in the Farm Ta r program^ is proof the committee is truly reflecting the desires and requirements of the farmers of this area,’’ President Stockslager stated. “Local farmers plan the tours so that problems- and farming methods of interest to this section are always featured.”

Mr. Stocksleger also said that the work done by the county agents, the power company and the farm equipment dealers to help develop the programs selected by the farmers has been whole-hearted and mosh apprecb ated.
