Membership Meeting
To Be Held August 10
Farmer - owners of Southern States Cooperative in the Sperryville area will hold their annual membership meeting Thursday, August 10, at 8:00 p.m. at the Rappahannock High School, Washington. Chairman of the meeting will be D. L. Miller, Jr., of Washington.
Highlights of the meeting will include the report on local agency operations by C. E. Johnson, Jr., the presentation of the Southern States annual report by James A. Silver of Warrenton, the election of local board members and farm advisory committee members, and the Ko-Op Kwiz Kontest, in which all farm people of the Sperryville area will compete for prizes by answering questions concerning the co-operative. Local prizes will be awarded winners and they will then be eligible to compete for the grand prize, 1950 Ford automobile, at the Southern States annual meeting in Richmond in November.
