Bees Best 'Jock’ Brown
Br &B IUU » County Treasurer Robert L. Brown, while inspecting his orchard, espied a cluster of bees loafing on a tree limb. Slave Driver “Jock” quickly snatched a stick and threw at the limb, yelling “Get to work”—however, his aim was slightly off and the bees, resenting being struck at while napping, “lit off after J ock,”
When Mr. Brown finally escaped his pursuers and looked over the damage he found—one leg cut and painful stings on— shall we say . . strategic positions.
