Mrs. C. E. Johnson was hostess to the Sperryville HD Clab Friday, July 23. A demonstration was given to the group on how to make ‘‘Martha Washington Candy*^ and “Snow Ball Dreams.** Any of you readers who Would like the recipe for making this type of candy just drop the agent a line and ask for it.
There will be community picnics held in the county in the next two weeks. These are the Washington HD Club picnic on the 10th of August, and the Flint Hill HD Club picnic on the 12th. Both of these clubs are inviting mainly the 4-H club members and other children in their community. Since all the club’s HD .goals are youth and community recreation, these picnics tie in very nicely with the program. Qames wiy be conducts^ at both of the picnics, and I’m cure - there' will be good food for all. .
4-H camp will be held again( this year at Powell's Fort Valley, on the 14th of August, through the 19th of August. Around 35 4-H members plan to attend this camp
