Garbage disposal, previously the concern of roving packs of hound dogs, was provided, and at the same time the women declared war on the dogs by reviving an old and forgotten ordinance which prohibits unescorted canines on * the streets. Add to these accomplishments a long list of minor improvements, such as additional street lighting, extensions of the sewer lines, the purchase of a fire truck, and other facilities that cannot be listed in this space, and one may readily realize that the all-woman government of Clintwood is rapidly winning approval and acclaim by the citizens.

Other ambitious programs, including a public playground, an adequate sewer system, and a municipal building and community center, have been held in abeyance because the women have been handicapped by lack of funds.
