Clintwood, the county seat of Dickenson county,' Virginia, a town of some 2,000 population nestling deep back in the MU country within eight miles of the Kentucky border, is appreciably benefitting by an original and rather widely publicised experiment. Within the past six months the town has undergone notable ehanges both in civic pride and public improvement—under “petticoat’' rule.
