Mrs. L. R. Hudson of Slate Mills last Monday received help from the Home Agent on boxing Springs in a sofa cushion. When a chair of a sofa has been used for quite some time the pockets which hold the springs in the cushion will break causing the springs to slip, thus, causing a hump in the middle of the cushion. By a simple process of reboxing these springs again, the cushion looks like new. If any of you home makers are having trouble like this, get in touch with your Home Agent, and she will be glad to give you information on -this subject.The
castleton Home Demonstration -Club J>ad ita monthly meeting last Tuesday, at the home of Mrs. Mamie Leake. The business part of the meeting was taken up first, conducted by the club president, Mrs. Doris Coughlin. The club decided to have a community picnic on the 23rd. of August. The 1951 program was tentatively made up by this club. Then a demonstration was given to the group on the “Freezing of Fruits, Vegetables, Meats, and Cooked Food." The agent showed how to freeze mustard greens, green beans, cantaloupe, and a cake. After the demonstration the hostess served very delicious refreshments.
