Area contests for 4-H club girls who have won county honors in project work this year, were held in the Municipal building; in Madison July 27. This area is composed of Albemarle, Culpeper, Fauquier, 'Greene, Louisa, Madison, Orange, Prince William, and Kappahannock counties. Winners will compete with the girls of 2 other areas or Northern Virginia, for the privilege of representing this district in a State Achievement Day roundup at VPI, August 22.
Contests covered a variety of projects: food preparation, food preservation, clothing, laundry, home improvement. Contestants
