Jack Marsh Campaigns
In County Monday
John 0. (Jack) Marsh, Jr., Seventh District Democratic Congressional Candidate, compaigned Monday in Rappahannock County where he met voters on farms and in stores in this agricultural county.
He climaxed a full day of person to person campaigning with an address to a Democratic Rally at the Court 'House in Washington, Virginia, where he pledged hard work ahd frequent visits if elected to Congress. He promised to continue the practice established by Representative Burr P. Harrison of regular visits to various parts of the District. He said in jhis way the Congressman could learn the views and obtain the suggestions of the District’s citizens.
Marsh said he felt that residents of the Seventh District had a sound and solid approach to basic issues of the day and it would be a high honor to represent them in Congress. He added that he felt there was* a real need to have this common sense approach to modern problems reflected in Congress.
E. M. Jones presided at the business meeting following the rally, at which time J. W. Fletcher was elected campaign chairman for the county. District chairmen were: Wakefield, Emory Russell and H. S.
