Woodstock Host
To Va. Lions
Dr. Walter Campbell, 3rd vice president of Lions International, will be featured speaker as district governors and officials from all over the state convene at Woodstock Friday.
Dr. Douglas Wisman of Woodstock, governor of District 24-C, will play host at the Fall Conference of his district and will entertain fellow officials from the Virginia Association of Lions Clubs.
Discussion forums scheduled for the morning session are: club administration, sight conservation (the number one project of Lionism), club programs, public relations and Lions information, and membership development.
In the afternoon a business session will be held which will include administrative and project reports. Reports are scheduled on the International Youth Exchange; Care-Peace Corps; Highway, Industrial and Home Safety, and on the Eye Bank.
Also included on the agenda of the day’s activities is a reception for Dr. and Mrs. Campbell.
District governors expected at the conference are: William B. Hix, Falls Church, 24-A; Earl Sowers, Richniond, 24-B; Joseph B. Butterworth, Warwick, 24-D; Joseph Higgins, Collinsville, 24E, and Fred Bennington, Galax, 24-F.
Thomas Reynolds, Fincastle, and Arthur D. Fultz, Leesburg, state secretaries, and W. Lawson Drickill, Lynchburg, state treasurer, are also expected, to attend.
