Said he was glad I was back on the “Rappahannock News”. I told him it was for just once in a while. Mattie Ball Fletcher called me and said she enjoyed reading my letter which I appreciated very much as well as Trippy Keating calling from Washington, D. C. to say she enjoyed my “Ramblings.” It is so nice to hear from friends.
T just wish you people would write Sarah and give her your opinions of the paper, pros and cons. I noticed in the paper last week a Letter to the Editor from Mr. Hening which was very nice. Of course I enjoyed reading a letter from a Gibbons supporter and will go right along with the opinion expressed only instead of a “turkey” I think it will be a goulash.
Well, after church yesterday I churned and did what most of us are doing, stripping the garden, getting ready for Mr. Jack Frost.
The ladies of Bromfield Parish are busy as bees getting ready for the House Tour and dried arrangement sale. This year tea will be served in the Parish Hall, in connection with the County Store. Dates are Oct. 21-22.
