Memorial weekend traffic flowed smoothly for the most part through Rappahannock County with two incidences reported by Trooper W. A. Buntin.
A single-vehicle crash occurred May 30 at 6 o’clock on Route 613 a mile east of Amissville. William Franklin Smoot of Amissville operating a 1968 Plymouth GTX 440 lost control of the vehicle and struck two trees on the right of the road. Damage was estimated at $1,000 and he sustained lacerations of the side of his head. He was charged with reckless driving.
No injury resulted in a rear end collision involving two vehicles Saturday at the west limits of
