yet proud of BIG brother. There were boys and girls with greater or lesser degrees of mastery. It was enjoyable.
Then, there was this clown who sat swinging his leg with the nonchalance of a little boy sitting on a fishing pier of a private lake. I don’t know how he qualified as a musician, but as a little boy, he was just that - a little boy.
As we left the recital we thanked the principal for making the auditorium available. We thanked the music teacher for her efforts and for the fine program we had enjoyed. To each nimble fingered performer I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for the thrill of listening to you. It may be in God’s divine providence that some of you will thrill millions of music lovers in time to come. By study and perseverance you will find yourself approved. It is my opinion that real SOUL MUSIC is music that thrills the soul, not the cacophonies we hear nowadays and interpreted as such.
