Summer School

Schedule Announced

Prof. O. A. Norton, Superintendent of Schools, has announced the summer schedule of classes for Rappahannock County.

This year, again, there will be offered at Rappahannock County Elementary classes for any child in the county who will enter the 1st grade in September. These “Introductory Activities for First Graders” will run from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon from July 7 through July 25, 1969. Transportation for the three week session will be provided. Buses will operate over the main highways. Parents are asked to pool transportation in order to get children to the nearest bus stop.

Registration for these classes, which are sponsored by Title I of the Elementary & Secondary Education Act, should be made prior to the First day of the session and may be made at Rappahannock County Elementary School.

There will be no classes offered this summer at the high school level because of lack of enrollment, and no classes will be offered at the elementary level because of lack of federal funds.
