Pruitt’* and Reagans
To Leave County
The Rev. and Mrs. Edward C. Pruitt and family and Mr. and Mrs. John C. Reagan, all of Flint Hill, were feted with a covered dish dinner Sunday at the Flint Hill fire hall. Both families will soon leave Rappahannock County to live elsewhere.
Rev. and Mrs. Pruitt will move to Mathews, Va. June 19 where Mr. Pruitt will assume duties at a new pastorate. He has served the Methodist Churches in Flint Hill, Washington, Willis Chapel and Sperryville for the past three years.
Mr. and Mrs. Reagan will leave the end of June for Morrisville, Pa. where they will reside. Mr. Reagan has served some time as a member of the Official Board of Flint Hill Methodist Church. He presented the church a post lamp which he had crafted to be placed in the church yard.
Rep. Hechler Wants Veterans Contacts
Washington - Rep. John 0. Marsh, Jr. said today that one of his collegues in Congress, Representative Ken Hechler of West Virginia, had asked him to make known that Mr. Hechler was interested in getting in touch with veterans who might have participated in the crossing of the Rhine River at Remagen, Germany, in World War II.
Congressman Marsh said Mr. Hechler had told him that a book written by the West Virginia legislator, “The Bridge at Remagen”, had been made into a motion picture to be released this summer.
Marsh said he would be glad to forward to Congressman Hechler the names and addresses of any veterans of the Remagen operation now residing in the 7 th Virginia Congressional District.
