Kenneth Smith of Buffalo, N. Y. in a 1964 Buick was struck from behind by a 1967 Chevrolet operated by Mahlon Atkins of Sperryvilie as both were traveling the same direction. As traffic slowed, the Atkins car struck the Smith vehicle, according to Trooper Buntin. Atkins was charged with following too closely. Damage was estimated at $200 to the Buick and at $400 to the Chevrolet.
