CHAPTER 18. Turkey. R 18-2.2. It shall be lawful to hunt bearded turkeys only from April 18 to May 9, 1970, both dates inclusive, from one-half hour before sunrise to 11 o’clock a.m., except in the counties of Buchanan, Buckingham, Dickenson, King and Queen, King William, Lee, Russell, Scott, Spotsylvania and Wise; and on Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area in Smyth and Tazewell counties and Hidden Valley Wildlife Management Area in Washington County, which shall be closed to hunting. In the counties of Caroline and Highland bearded turkeys may be hunted only on Commissionowned lands, national forest lands and military areas. Bearded turkeys shall be hunted by calling. It shall be unlawful to use dogs or organize drives for the purpose of hunting.
