The Common Cold
The common cold is the most common of man’s illnesses. It is a viral disease transmitted by direct contact with an infected person, infected droplets, or infected articles. There are more than half a billion colds in the United States each year with an average of approximately 20 million t day in peak months. So states the October issue of the Virginii Health Bulletin, a monthly publication of the Virginia Department of Health.
