Christmas Flower Show
Scheduled in Front Royal
The Valley Garden Club will present its annual Christmas Flower Show, entitled Christmas Is--, on Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6 in the Front Royal Presbyterian Church.
Classes are open to all amateur gardeners and flower arrangers. In the artistic division the following classes have been scheduled:
“The Birth of Christ” - to be staged in a grey niche 26” wide, 20” deep and 36” high.
“Open House” - a design for the door. Door furnished by exhibitor.
“Cheery Welcome” - a hanging arrangement.
“The Warmth of the Hearth” - a design for the mantel.
“The Joy of Giving” - a wrapped package to be decorated with plant material.
“A Christmas Carol” - Name your carol.
“Around the World” - Name the country.
“Fun in the Kitchen”
“Winter Fantasy”
“A Christmas Tree"
“The Glow of Candles”
In the Junior division the classes are: “Visions of Sugar Plums” for 8 to 12 year olds, and “Santa Claus” for those 5 to 8 years old.
Entries will be received from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 5 and must be removed between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 6.
All classes are “Pre-entry”. Space will be reserved for exhibitors in order of application. When the spaces are taken the classes will be closed. Apply for reservations to Mrs. Eldon E. Campbell, president, 216 No. Royal Ave., Front Royal. Phone 635-3516.
