However, the irritations of a cold are soothed by some products and most honest advertising will state that the particular drug will only, “aid in removing the discomforts due to colds.”
“Bed rest is of the greatest importance in the treatment of common cold,” according to the Bulletin. The Bulletin goes on by explaining that “such rest builds up the body’s resistence and this in turn diminishes the severity of the common cold, limits its spread, and reduces the danger of complications.” The Bulletin concludes with some suggestions for caring for one’s self during the period of infection.
