Mist Rodgers Feted

Mrs. William C. Humphries of Front Royal entertained with tea Saturday afternoon, October 31 at her home in honor of Miss Jaqulyn (Jill) Rodgers of Flint Hill. Miss Rodgers is the fiancee of Capt. John M. Humphries, son of Dr. and Mrs. Humphries. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert J. Rodgers of Flint Hill.
Among those attending were Mrs. Roger Torneden of New York City, sister of Miss Rodgers and her uncle, George J. Bentley and Mrs. Bentley of Washington, D.C. and Virginia.
Miss Rodgers was feted with a Luncheon and kitchen shower Saturday, November 7 given by Mrs. Vernon L. Manuel at her home in Front Royal.
She was honored Sunday evening with a party given by Mrs. Edward E. Clark in Flint Hill. Twenty friends and relatives from the Flint Hill area were present. Miss Rodgers was presented a fondue ensemble as a gift.
Miss Rodgers and Captain Humphries will be married Thanksgiving Day at the Flint Hill l Baptist Church.
