Paul Beiler of Virginia Beach, charged February 21 with speeding; and Roger Franklin Paquin of Falls Church, charged with reckless driving on August 22. Also appealed was a reckless driving charge against John Eugene McCoy of Elkton which occurred May 23 and a speeding charge against Sanford Melvin Straight of Manassas on May 12; neither of which were radar cases. All were set for jury trial on December 17.
An attorney was appointed for John Franklin Taylor of White Top, Va. who was charged with driving on a revoked license after being convicted under the habitual offender statute. A trial date was not established.
Cases concerning confiscated vehicles were head and orders approved for public sale of them.
The grand jury was composed of Ralph Rowzie, foreman; Philip Irwin, H. B. Wood, Jr., Robert Dennis and J. B. Perkins
A group of senior students from Rappahannock County High School studying government visited the court to learn first-hand the procedures In court. They were briefed by Judge Snead and were introduced to other court officers, as the sheriff, commonwealth’s attorney, etc. who told a little about their duties.
