Mrs. Valeni^ H. Thomas of Sperryville died at Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, D. C. on November 1,1970, after a long illness. She was a native of San Francisco, Calif, and had been a resident of Sperryville since 1953. She is survived by her husband, Bernard Thomas and a sister, Mrs. Jane Schaw of Sacramento, Calif.

Elliott of Remington and Ralph Elliott of Fairfax; and two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Frazier of Culpeper and Mrs. Marvin Hitt of Fredericksburg.
