in most cases students can buy used books, at a savings, if they look for them.
If your children buy most of their books new, they are wasting your money. They can find used books by asking their older friends or by making use of the National Honor Society, which arranges sale of used books.
Furthermore, if some old books are lying around home, there is a good chance they can be sold if brought to school. Of course some textbooks are discontinued, such as certain science and math books this year, but most books remain in use for six years.
