Reminders were mailed this week to members of the Rappahannock Historical Society that dues for 1975 should be sent to Mrs. Robert Anderson, Woodville, 22749. Mrs. Virginia Miller, president, urges all interested persons to join. Couple memberships are $5; Single is $3; Junior, $1.
Restoration of the Historical Society Building on Gay Street is progressing. To date.astainyayto the basement has been built, beams were installed to “shore up” the basement, electric wiring was installed, and the roof has been painted.
This year the R.H.S. is sponsoring the House Tour on October 18 and 19 in cooperation with Bromfield Parish’s Dried Flower Arrangement Sale. Proceeds of the tour, plus your dues and contributions, will enable restoration of the old building to continue.
The next meeting of the Historical Society will be Wednesday, October 8.D
