FAMILY HOUSING
The United States Army intends to construct 211 family housing units at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Glen Haven Section, Montgomery County, Maryland to provide housing for married military personnel assigned to that installation. The 211 units will consist of 126 2-Bedroom Garden Type Apartments, 45 3-Bedroom Townhouse or Duplex type units, and 40 4-Bedroom Townhouse or Duplex type units. Pursuant to Section 111 of Public Law 93-636, the Army will consider the acquisition by purchase of an equal or lesser number of existing privately owned housing units which are vacant, complete for occupancy and meet the Army's requirements. Such units must consist of not less than 50 units grouped contiguously to each other and be within rush hour commuting distance of one hour of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (Georgia Avenue and Aspen Street, Washington, D. C.). Proposals to sell must be submitted to U.S. Army Engineer District, Baltimore, ATTN: Real Estate Division, P.O. Box 1715, Baltimore, Maryland 21203 or delivered to Room 1607, 10 East Baltimore -Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21203. Regardless of mode of submission, no proposals will be accepted after 4:30 P.M. on 2 September 1975.
