Mr. and Mrs. Roadcap Atkins of Amissville celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their home Sunday. They received best wishes from family and friends who visited, phoned and brought or sent gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Atkins were married August 10, 1925, in Hagerstown, Md. The ceremony was performed at the St. Paul Brethern Church by the Rev. Berry Plumer. She is the former Helen Clark and both of them were natives of Sperryville where they lived until Shenandoah National Park took their property. They have lived in Amissville for more than 30 years.
