From Page 7 number to be allowed on the property at one time, there will be parking for 600 cars, Weil said. “You can’t presuppose 1,500 owners will all have campers,” he said. Anyway, “we’d like to think of the campers as minor.” Anyone who wanted to bring their camper to the property would have to call the property manager in advance, to make sure there’d be space, Weil said. Anyone who came by car could come anytime.
Mildred Fletcher asked what kinds of camper trailers would be permitted. Weil said “pop-ups, self-contained vans and trailer units” pulled behind cars would be considered as campers. A trailer longer than 29 feet is not considered a camper trailer, but a mobile home trailer.
Ian Pryde wondered if motorcycle riding would be permitted inside the recreation area. Weil said it would not. The by-laws of the property owners association would prevent it. Josef Gardiner, chairman of the Zoning Appeals Board, asked if the by-laws could be changed later. Weil said they could, but added that the zoning appeals board could place permanent restrictions or conditions upon the special use permit.
