HARVEY JOHNSON, representing the Camelback Ski Corporation, appeared before the Rappahannock Planning Commissioners at their July 21 meeting to bring them up to date regarding future plans for the Rappahannock Sid area. Johnson wanted “input” from the Commissioners. He explained that his staff didn’t want to go through the trouble of organizing a program now that the Planning Commissioners wouldn’t approve later.
Johnson said that his company hopes to open the area on a yearround recreational basis. “It would have to be run more as a year-round operation rather than just a ski area in order to be profitable,” said Johnson. He said, the area could possibly open
