THE Virginia Department of Personnel and Training will accept applications for the position of Game Warden for the Commission ► of Game and Inland Fisheries beginning August 2. Virginia Game Wardens are required to enforce the game, fish, and boat laws in an assigned area of the State. Appointments will be based upon the results of an open competitive examination. The Commonwealth of Virginia is an equal opportunity employer.
To be considered, the applicants must first meet these minimum qualifications: Be at least 21 years of age by April 1, 1977, with no disabling impairments. Have 20/20 vision, but no less than 20/40 vision corrected to 20/20 vision. Have a high school diploma or possession of an equivalency certificate such as a G.E.D. certificate. Be able to obtain a Virginia motor vehicle operator license before appointment and have a safe driving record.
Candidates with the top scores on the open competitive examination will be invited to Richmond for a four-week training school conducted at the Commission’s expense. Those who complete the
