Prize winners
Considering the weather, Sperryville firemen completed a relatively successful carnival Saturday night. Prize winners announced included Miss Nancy Buntin of Washington who was awarded $1,000 in cash; J. W. Fletcher, Sperryville, received $500, and A. C. Corbin of Culpeper was given j $250. The $100 given Friday went ; to R. C. Davenport of Delaplane. i Parade winners Thursday will ' be listed next week along with a wrap-up of the event.
Carnival chairman Eddie Gore expressed appreciation on behalf of the volunteers for the patronage of the public, the time and effort of the firemen and people of the community, for the contributions of food and all other assistance received. □
