McNear told the Commissioners that he wanted to discuss the RBI district at the next meeting. “Whew!” said McNear, shaking his head. “That’s a tough one.”

Fanning Baumgardner reported that the Commissioner of Revenue would allow him to take her tax maps—the only up-to-date maps showing new subdivisions in the county—to Richmond to be reproduced. Baumgardner said that the telephone company wanted a copy and had agreed to pay for the set of two if they could keep one. Since the maps are not needed right away, Baumgardner agreed to explore further the possibility of interesting the power company in also paying for a set. “The longer we can put it off, the more up-todate the maps will be when we need them.”
