Chairman Barksdale volunteered the Planning Commission’s services in effecting the changes, however often it was deemed necessary. Planning Commissioner and Supervisor Chairman Pete Luke thought the map should be updated every quarter.

“Someone should have the authority to do it—in writing,” commented McNear. “As of now, no one has.”

“I think it should be under dual control and changes should be dated and have two signatures,” added Commissioner Alan Stokes.

BARKSDALE suggested that the Board of Supervisors notify the Planning Commission of any changes needed in the zoning map. The Planning Commission would be responsible for making the actual changes which would then be initialed by the Chairmen of both bodies.
