son violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), and by confinement in jail not to exceed the term of thirty (30) days, as provided in Section 15.1-505 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended; and trial of all violations of this Ordinance shall be enforced by proceedings before the General District Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, in the manner and with like right of appeal as is provided in misdemeanor cases; and the Sheriff and all deputies and police officers of Rappahannock County are hereby authorized to issue summons in writing to violators of this Ordinance for their appearance before said Court. All fines collected from any person, firm or corporation for violating any provision of this Ordinance, i^rnn conviction thereof, shall be credited to the general fund of the County and deposited by the County Treasurer in the same manner as that prescribed for other county monies. SECTION 16. EFFECTIVE DATE. The above amendments shall be effective on and after 12:01 a.m. on May 1, 1977. SECTION 17. PUBLICATION. The Clerk is directed to publish the foregoing amendments, pursuant to Section 15.1-504 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended.
