Park Visits Up
Senandoah National Park Superintendent Robert R. Jacobson reports that park visits in July 1977 increased 35.2 per cent over the previous year, a record for July travel. Over the entire 1977 calendar year, visits are up 26.1 per cent compared to 1976.
In July, the maximum temperature recorded at Big Meadows was 89 degrees, the minimum was 46 degrees and precipitaion totaled 1.76 inches for the month. ^
