“We’ve been here two and a half hours,” interjected H. B. Wood. “Let’s ask the people if they have anything more to say.”
Goode’s attorney made one last statement. He maintained that the Supervisors should consider “this site and this site only” and apply ordinance regulations to the proposed 14 lots. “I think you have to grant the rezoning,” Compton concluded.
The public hearing was closed and with no discussion, the Board made t its decision. Wood moved that the rezoning be denied in accordance with the Planning Commission’s recommendation. F«ctH<»ni seconded the motion. The vote was Eastham, Wood and Baldwin for denial, Luke and Latham opposed.
