A grand parade will open the annual carnival sponsored by Amissville Fire Department and Rescue Squad and scheduled for Thursday, August 18. The festivities will continue through Saturday night.
Beauty queens, marching units, fire and rescue units, comics, floats and majorettes will be featured in the parade line, while exciting rides, good food, games and fun will flourish. The carnival is held on the fire house grounds just west of Amissville on Route 211.
