Despite further threats of legal action from Rappahannock Commonwealth Attorney George Davis, the county Supervisors approved the monthly accounts for the Sheriff Department’s mileage reimbursements with little comment at last Thursday’s Board meeting. Following the vote, the Supervisors went into executive session, a very private executive session, barring Davis, sheriff William Buntin and Clerk Diane Bruce from the proceedings.

Honorable Rayner V. Snead, Circuit Judge for Rappahannock, Fauquier and Loudoun Counties, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the American Judicature Society.
The American Judicature Society is a national membership organization of civic leaders, lawyers and judges founded to spearhead judicial improvements and court modernization.
Judge Snead is a member of the Virginia Court Study Commission and the Judicial Council of Virginia. He serves as Chairman of a Committee on District Courts in Virginia. Judge Snead was appointed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia to serve as chairman of a committee to revise and improve the Justice of the PeaqeJSystem.
