Before Congress recessed until after Labor Day, HouseSenate conferees, who have been reconciling differences in the omnibus farm bill passed by the two bodies of Congress, reached agreement on how to handle disaster payments for the droughtdamaged 1977 corn crop, according to Seventh District Congreeman J.
